  When the sheet metal is bent, especially when the bending radius is very small or repeated bending, cold work hardening occurs in the bending area, and the material becomes hard and brittle, which is easy to produce cracks and fractures. Therefore, when bending, the bending radius, bending times and the selection of materials should be limited.

  Sheet metal for sheet metal is generally rolled, and the performance in each direction is different. When discharging, when the bending curve is perpendicular to the rolling grain direction of sheet metal, it is not easy to produce cracks. When the bending curve is parallel to the rolling grain direction of the sheet, cracks are easy to occur. When bending in several directions, the bending curve shall form a certain angle with the rolling grain direction of sheet metal, which is generally greater than 30 degrees.

  In actual production, in order to improve the utilization rate of materials and speed up the discharge and blanking speed, in addition to individual materials or special requirements, it is generally adopted to increase the bending radius to make up for the influence of rolling grain direction.
